Candidates must have BLS certification. Licenses are required for submission. The team will cover patients 7 days a week. A team leader will be present when the manager is not available. Common diagnoses include cardiac, stroke, orthopedic, ICU, neurological, and medical-surgical. Pediatrics and neonatal ICU experience are not required, and travelers are not expected to work in NICU or pediatric wards. Weekend requirements involve working every third weekend, with the possibility of every other weekend. Candidates will work holidays as part of the permanent staff rotation for all modalities. Dress code includes a polo-style shirt or a button-down long sleeve shirt in burgundy color, provided through a vendor if desired, and dark solid pants. Charting system used is Cerner. No floating between units is required. A rotating schedule will be in place for shifts that require the coverage of hospital services 24/7. There is no IV team available. Respiratory therapy support is available 24/7. Pharmacy service operates 24/7. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the 13-week assignment.
