Contract CNA Instructor

CONTRACT CNA Instructor (Contract RN) – Winning Wheels, Prophetstown, IL Winning Wheels is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Contract CNA Instructor for our Nurse Aide Training Program. This rewarding part-time position offers the opportunity to educate and mentor the next generation of nurse aides in a not for profit, long-term care environment known for excellence in resident care. Position: CNA Instructor (Contract RN) Location: Winning Wheels, Prophetstown, IL Status: Contract Qualifications: Current RN license in the state of Illinois, in good standing. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a long-term care setting. BSN or higher education with 4 accredited CEUs in Alzheimer's or related dementias or If diploma ADN RN will need completed Train the Trainer certificate or If currently teaching LPNs or RNs, proof of that role needed Prior teaching or instructional experience preferred. Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate and implement all aspects of the Nurse Aide Training Program. Teach the clinical components of the curriculum in accordance with program and state requirements. Theory is done online Maintain an engaging and supportive learning environment to ensure student success. Evaluate student performance, that includes clinical competencies. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to students throughout the program. Each training session consists of 59 hours of lab and clinical instructional time, plus additional preparation as needed.
