OverviewJoin to apply for the Principal UI Engineer role at CadenceAs a Principal UI Engineer, you will work with designers, scientists, and software engineers to enhance and extend Orion's UI capabilities. You'll tackle a range of challenges across scientific visualization, collaboration, data management, and new product and feature development. Help us solve what others can't.The annual salary range for Massachusetts is $117,600 to $218,400. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. Our benefits programs include paid vacation and paid holidays, 401(k) plan with employer match, employee stock purchase plan, a variety of medical, dental and vision plan options, and more.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with designers, scientists, and software engineers to enhance and extend Orion's UI capabilities.Address a variety of challenges across scientific visualization, collaboration, data management, and new product and feature development.Contribute to building cutting edge features and modernizing existing software.QualificationsBS in computer science/engineering, biology/chemistry or similar with a minimum of 7 years of experience OR MS with a minimum of 5 years OR PhD with a minimum of 1 year of experienceExperience designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging complex user interfaces and software systems as part of a teamExpert in JavaScript/TypeScript/CSS/HTMLExperience with Vue, Pinia/VueX and frameworks such as Nuxt.js / Next.jsExperience in Life Sciences, HPC, Python, AWS, Web Workers, WebAssembly, and WebGL is a plusExperience with unit & end-to-end testing, CI/CD, source control, code reviews, and comfortable using command line interfacesStrong fundamentals in computer science (data structures, algorithms)Willingness to learn and explore new technologies with strong problem-solving skillsInterpersonal SkillsAbility to collaborate with peers across development, science, design and customer success, often across time zonesTake initiative to solve unexpected challenges during developmentDesire to expand knowledge in technical and scientific areasOperate with integrity while pushing to raise the barReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Cadence.J-18808-Ljbffr
