This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll partner directly with the Hospital CEO and clinical leadership to improve outcomes for medically complex patients with longer-term recoveries (~25-day average stay). Why This Role Stands Out Direct line to the Hospital CEO—high visibility and influence True ownership of Quality, Risk, and Safety programs Smaller hospital environment = faster decisions, meaningful impact Monday–Friday schedule—no weekends Opportunity to build and elevate programs, not just maintain them What You’ll Own Lead Quality & Performance Improvement initiatives end-to-end Drive regulatory compliance & accreditation readiness (CIHQ / Joint Commission) Oversee risk management, infection prevention, and patient safety programs Spearhead survey readiness and continuous improvement efforts Analyze and present quality metrics and outcomes to leadership Utilize quality tools (e.g., root cause analysis) to improve processes Partner closely with clinical and operational leaders to elevate care What You Bring 3+ years of experience in Quality, Risk, or Infection Control in healthcare Experience with regulatory/accreditation processes (The Joint Commission or CIHQ) Active clinical license (RN, RT, or similar) Experience with EMR/EHR systems Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills Preferred: Acute care or hospital-based experience CIHQ certification (or willingness to obtain) Compensation $96,000 – $105,000 base salary Benefits 4+ weeks PTO 401(k) with match Medical, dental, and vision coverage Tuition reimbursement up to $15K Disability and life insurance About the Organization Part of a privately owned hospital system specializing in transitional care for medically complex patients, offering the stability of an established network with the feel of a close-knit hospital team.
