Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent and skilled Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering and a passion for hands-on work. This role involves working closely with engineers to build test fixtures, document findings, and conduct validation testing. The successful candidate will enjoy a collaborative environment in a state-of-the-art facility.ResponsibilitiesChange outlets and perform simple plumbing tasks.Collaborate with engineers to build test fixtures.Document findings and maintain equipment records.Conduct validation testing as required.Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues.Utilize schematics and blueprints to support lab and R&D activities.Essential SkillsTechnical aptitude with a strong mechanical background.Experience with troubleshooting and testing equipment.Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.Excellent documentation and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.0-1 years of relevant experience.Experience from trade school or automotive programs is a plus.Hands-on experience from school projects, personal projects, or car maintenance.Understanding of plumbing and constructive trades.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a beautiful, brand-new facility in Carlsbad, featuring a team-oriented atmosphere. The work schedule is an alternate work week with a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off. Facilities include an on-site self-service café, free gourmet coffee stations, an on-site gym, and recreational amenities like ping-pong, foosball, an outdoor bocce ball court, BBQ, and a firepit. The work hours are flexible, starting between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM, and ending at 5:30 PM. The job involves regular standing, walking, and handling of tools and equipment. Specific vision abilities and a sense of smell are required to detect gas and harmful vapors. Limited travel may be necessary.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
