HAM/SAM Analyst III

Codeworks is an IT Services firm headquartered in SE Wisconsin, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.Who We’re Looking For:We are seeking a Senior Asset Management Analyst with 5-8 years of experience in both hardware and software asset management, particularly with expertise in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Pro and Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities, with a strong background in audits, compliance, and reading contractual language. CSAM certification or similar is highly preferred.This role is part of the M&A team, responsible for managing asset transitions during divestitures and acquisitions, working closely with both hardware and software asset management leads. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining asset integrity and compliance, while also representing the asset management team in M&A initiatives.Responsibilities:Manage hardware and software asset management processes to ensure compliance and optimize asset usage.Conduct audits and ensure accuracy in hardware/software inventory and licensing.Use ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro to track and manage asset lifecycles.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, legal, and finance, to ensure asset management practices align with business goals.Provide M&A insights on asset valuation, integration, and compliance.Interpret contractual language related to software licensing agreements.Serve as the primary point of contact for ServiceNow reporting needs for the M&A team.Develop and implement asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.Analyze asset utilization to inform purchasing decisions and optimize software license renewals.Prepare and present asset performance reports to key stakeholders.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in asset management.Qualifications:5-8 years of experience in hardware and software asset management, with a focus on audits and compliance.Proficiency in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Pro and Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro is required.Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and understanding asset management implications in such processes.Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.CSAM certification preferred.Experience reading and interpreting software license agreements.Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accuracy in asset tracking and reporting.About Codeworks: Codeworks has over 25 years of experience serving Fortune 1000 companies in Wisconsin as well as our client's national locations.
