CCTV Technician

Position SummaryThe CCTV Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing camera systems used in specialized camera trucks for municipalities, water utilities and related industries. This role requires technical expertise in electronic equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to ensure equipment is fully operational.Essential FunctionsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Inspect and diagnose camera systems in accordance with manufacturer procedures and guidelinesRepair or replace defective components, ensuring proper functionality of the equipmentTest and validate camera system performance following repairs or maintenanceProvide training, technical support, and troubleshooting assistance to Equipment Consultants and customersAssist in the installation, configuration, and integration of camera systems into trucks, ensuring compatibility and proper operationMaintain accurate records of parts used and assist in managing inventory for camera system componentsOrder replacement parts as needed, following company protocolCollaborate with customers and Equipment Consultants to understand system needs and communicate repair progressKnowledge, Skill, And AbilitiesStrong knowledge of electronic circuits, wiring and camera technologyProficiency with diagnostic tools, soldering and other repair techniquesIntermediate computer proficiencyAbility to read and interpret manuals and schematicsCapable of handling a variable workload with minimal supervisionCompetent using Microsoft Office SoftwareStrong communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively on projects/repairsEDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diplomaMinimum of 3 years’ experience in electronics or camera equipmentExperience working with municipal or utility vehiclesKnowledge of software and hardware integration for camera systemsFamiliarity with sewer or pipeline inspection equipment preferredExperience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
