Our mission is to empower people to regain self-sufficiency through tailored programs for unhoused individuals, families, transitional-aged youth (TAY), college students, and senior citizens. Core programs include a transitional housing program offering stable housing and services, a TAY shelter supporting young adults with education and life skills, the HomeShare OC initiative promoting intergenerational home-sharing, and the Housing and Resources Connection, which provides comprehensive support to transition individuals from homelessness to permanent housing. Located in North Orange County, we pride ourselves on delivering impactful, community-driven solutions.Role DescriptionThis is an on-site contract role in Yorba Linda, CA, for the Coordinator of Volunteers position. The Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers while fostering strong relationships with community partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing volunteer training programs, maintaining volunteer schedules, coordinating outreach efforts to expand the volunteer base, and supporting program activities through effective volunteer engagement.In addition, the Coordinator will oversee the supervision and daily coordination of volunteers within the shelter environment, ensuring all volunteers are appropriately oriented to shelter protocols, safety procedures, and trauma-informed practices. This includes assigning roles based on program needs, providing real-time guidance and support during shifts, and ensuring volunteers adhere to organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and guest interaction guidelines.The Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for on-site volunteers, addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive, structured volunteer experience. They will also monitor performance, provide feedback, and ensure volunteers are effectively supporting shelter operations while maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all residents.QualificationsExperience in Volunteer Training and Volunteer ManagementStrong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilitiesProven ability in organizing and managing Community Outreach programsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead and motivate groups to achieve program goalsPrevious experience working with nonprofit organizations or in a community service role is a plusAbility to work on-site in Yorba Linda, CA
