Enterprise Application Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Integration Engineer to support mission-critical enterprise systems and high-volume transactional applications within a large public-sector technology environment. This role will focus on enhancing, supporting, and integrating enterprise applications while contributing to scalable, service-oriented architecture initiatives.Position OverviewThe ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise application integration, real-time messaging systems, Java development, and systems troubleshooting. This individual will work closely with technical and business teams to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise solutions and integrations.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, design, develop, test, and implement enterprise applications and integrationsSupport and troubleshoot critical real-time, high-volume transaction systemsConduct technical research and evaluate technologies, tools, frameworks, and methodologiesDesign and develop XML data exchanges and web servicesAssist with system enhancements, maintenance, and new application developmentTroubleshoot and resolve production defects and system issuesCollaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirementsParticipate in project planning, risk analysis, issue tracking, and communications managementProvide weekly project status updatesAssist with deployment and integration of COTS productsCreate test plans, test cases, and support performance testing initiativesTransfer technical knowledge to internal support teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 3 years of experience as an Enterprise Application Integration Engineer on enterprise-level IT projectsStrong experience with:Java 1.7+LinuxC/C++JBoss 7+RedHat AMQSOAP & REST Web ServicesTCP/IP protocolsXML/XSLTOracle, SQL Server, or MySQL databasesStored procedures, triggers, and viewsSource control tools such as Git, SVN, or CVSExperience integrating multiple enterprise systems/applicationsExperience automating data-sharing processesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within technical teamsExperience with business analysis, requirements gathering, and technical documentationPreferred QualificationsExperience with:Apache CamelAutomated testing toolsJasper ReportsEclipse IDESMTP/SFTPMicrosoft Project and ExcelAdditional DetailsFull-time, 40 hours/weekStandard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMOccasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for deployments or emergency supportPosition based in Tallahassee, FloridaBackground check, drug screening, and security clearance requirements apply
