Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer serves in the Division of Athletics and reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Medicine for Men's Basketball. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the medical and rehabilitation programs and needs of student-athletes on the men's and women's tennis teams as well as the volleyball and acrobatics and tumbling teams.A Master's Degree is required along with experience with the aforementioned sports is preferred. National Athletic Training Certification is required. Administer treatment under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Medicine and Team Physician. The athletic trainer is responsible for delivering comprehensive athletic medicine services within the scope of practice. This position requires travel.Communication* Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents, coaches, team physicians, and administration on progress of student athletes. Maintain proper documentation in accordance with governing regulations.Operations* Assist in maintaining and proper use of athletic training facilities to create an efficient and safe working environment.Program Management* Assist with the management of the student athletic training education program.Compliance* Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and to communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff.Other DutiesOther program duties as requested by the Director of Athletics or the unit head.Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's missionAbility to comply with University policiesMaintain regular and punctual attendanceWhat You Can ExpectAs part of the Baylor family, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous time off, tuition remission, and outstanding automatic retirement contributions.
