Home Health Aide (CNA) for Bloomington, ILOur company is an established home healthcare company that has been servicing patients in Bloomington, IL and surrounding 30 miles. We are seeking a Certified Nurses Aide with high-energy, self-initiating, dependable and caring spirit to visit homes and provide personal care as a Home Health Aide.Environmental requirements:Primarily work in patient residences and retirement communities.Travel required to changing assignments/addressesPossible exposure to Bloodborne pathogensPossible exposure to sharps/needlesPosition is out of the office 95% of the time Possible exposure to communicable illnessesResponsibilities:Assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, weighing, back rubs, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting and hair careChanging bed linensMeasuring intake and outputAssisting with patient transfersCleaning perineal area around catheterObtaining patient temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressureCollecting stool and urine specimensMaintaining a safe environment for the patientProtecting the patient from fallsCommunicating with the patientProviding good skin careMaking observations of the patient's condition and reporting the results to the Registered Nurse/TherapistAssisting with ambulation o Assisting with range of motion exercisesProviding physical and emotional support as requiredThe nurse or therapist assesses the need for personal care services and includes the services in the physician plan of care (orders).
