Data Center Security Installation Superintendent (Superintendent 1)
Overview
This position is located in Haskell, Texas and requires the project manager to work onsite every day. The role is within the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit and is responsible for ensuring large data center electronic security installation projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Utilize and understand project safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW) and develop comprehensive building schedules with a 12+ week look-ahead to ensure all safety protocols and timelines are met.
Perform quality reviews of design documentation, analyzing drawing packages to evaluate constructability.
Manage daily material and labor planning, updating 4-week look-ahead forecasts.
Support logistics planning for personnel and equipment, tracking project metrics including time and materials through unit tracking and field quality control.
Identify and obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and inspection filings before work begins.
Manage crew activities, keeping teams on task, monitoring overtime hours, and determining labor requirements.
Participate in weekly resource allocation meetings, create resource-loaded schedules (including manpower, material, equipment), and maintain an accurate organizational chart.
Complete project documentation per M.C. Dean standards, including RFIs and detailed daily reports, and ensure proper documentation return to site QC representatives.
Partner with engineers to drive the prefab process, develop prefab plans and schedules, and manage the pre-fabrication process without over-ordering.
Lead daily ORM meetings, respond to accidents and incidents, and maintain safety by reviewing and storing all AHA documents related to the project scope.
Execute Pre-Installation Test and Check-Out (PITCO) plans, including testing to verify high quality and identify areas for process improvement.
Perform quality control inspections of completed work, following established QC plans and checklists, ensuring compliance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Oversee installation of cabling, equipment racks, and building out of communication and security rooms per applicable standards, including termination and testing of system components.
Communicate consistently with GC, owner, project teams, and other trades, engaging in scheduled project meetings, and serve as a reliable field operations contact for customer representatives.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience.
At least seven (7) years of progressive experience in installation, integration, and testing of electronic security projects valued at more than $500k.
Experience in the Security Industry.
At least two (2) years managing security projects as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Project Foreman.
Experience installing conduit and wiring systems.
Experience with head-end programming and testing of Access Control and Video Management Systems.
Common knowledge of basic Network Infrastructure.
Experience with management systems such as scheduling, job cost reports, estimating, safety, documentation requirements, and quality control.
Experience overseeing and approving monthly job cost updates, productivity reports, and quarterly cash flow projections; proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling method.
History of completing projects under estimated hours.
Reliable attendance at customer site during required work hours.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends.
Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
Background working with multidisciplinary teams.
Time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills is a plus.
Desired Experience
Open to travel as required.
Experience with Microsoft Project.
Certification in one or more Access Control Systems, particularly Lenel OnGuard.
Certification in Video Management Systems.
30-hour OSHA certification.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Common knowledge of Biometric Systems.
