Fund Accounting Manager

The organization partners with investors and operators to scale solutions that deliver both financial returns and broader impact.The firm is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager with deep investment and partnership accounting expertise to manage accounting operations across a range of investment entities. This role is ideal for someone coming from a fund administrator or complex investment management environment who combines strong technical skills with a process improvement mindset and leadership capabilities.Reporting to the Controller, this individual will oversee accounting for multiple entity types including limited partnerships, LLCs, and other investment structures while driving efficiency through automation and process optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsManage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple investment entities Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements Oversee investment accounting including capital calls, distributions, allocations, and NAV reporting Prepare financial packages for internal and external stakeholders Coordinate with third parties including fund administrators, banking partners, and tax providers Leadership & Team DevelopmentMentor and develop junior accounting staff Train team members on partnership accounting and fund structures Delegate work while maintaining accountability for quality and deadlines Process ImprovementIdentify and implement automation opportunities Improve workflows across close, reconciliation, and reporting processes Support system implementations and enhancements Technical Accounting & ComplianceApply GAAP guidance related to investment and partnership accounting Support audit processes and maintain internal controls Partner with tax and finance teams on complex accounting matters QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred 8–10 years of experience with a strong focus on investment and partnership accounting Background in fund administration, investment management, or public accounting serving investment clients Deep knowledge of partnership accounting (capital accounts, allocations, distributions) Experience managing multiple entities and complex structures Proven ability to improve processes and drive efficiency Strong Excel and accounting systems experience Ideal Candidate ProfileHands-on leader who is comfortable both executing and mentoring Detail-oriented with strong technical accounting skills Process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement Collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-orientedSE: 510800610
