21st Century After School Program

Essential FunctionsMay help with homework, tutoring, test preparation and supervision during snack and recreation.May lead sessions or assist the session leader with small groups of studentsFollows professional practices consistent with school and system policies under the supervision of the Site Coordinator.Works with Site Coordinator and the after school team to provide a quality after school experience through academic and personal enrichment activities.May assist with family events.Some positions may require the preparation of lesson plans and maintaining logs of activities and partnerships.Area of Experience Needed:Tutor, Certified and Non-Certified Teacher, Math, ELA, STEM, Sports/Coaching, Visual Arts, Family Involvement and Resources, and Family and Consumer Sciences.RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age. Experience working with school-age students preferred. Must possess effective communication skills.Physical RequirementsThe usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following require the following physical demands: significant lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Job may require exposure to outside weather conditions.Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 50% walking, and 45% standing.Education/TrainingMinimum of a high school diploma or GED.Must be in good academic standing if still attending school, and/or possess job related experience.
