General Manager

General Manager The General Manager (GM) is the strategic and operational leader of the restaurant, responsible for driving overall performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction. This role oversees all day‑to‑day operations, leads a high‑performing management team, ensures food‑safety and operational compliance, and cultivates a positive culture that supports team development, engagement, and consistent execution of brand standards. Responsibilities Oversee all staff, budgets, and operations of the local Burger King, ensuring daily activities run smoothly and efficiently. Formulate overall strategy, manage people, and establish policies. Be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision‑maker, helping the team develop and be productive while ensuring profits rise. Help the company grow and thrive. Requirements A minimum of 2 years of General Management experience, currently, in the QSR industry is required. MSc/MA in Business or relevant field, preferred. Availability to work within opening hours (e.g., evenings, holidays, weekends); expectation to work at least 2 Sundays, two mid‑shifts (11 am‑9 pm), and one closing shift (3 pm‑12 am) per month. Entrepreneurial mindset, business development, and strategy implementation knowledge. Strong leadership and decision‑making skills. Ability to sell, manage, and drive growth. Excellent customer relationship management skills. Able to withstand the physical demands of a restaurant environment. ServeSafe Certification preferred (training may be provided). Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry items up to 70 lb. Stand for extended periods (up to an entire shift). Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull regularly for operations, stocking, and equipment use. Use ladders occasionally for maintenance checks. Work in varying environments including hot kitchen areas and walk‑in coolers/freezers. Operate POS systems, kitchen equipment, computers, and other standard devices.
