This role is intended for a technician who can work independently, apply sound metrology principles, and deliver accurate, compliant calibration services in laboratory and onsite environments.This position aligns with industry-leading calibration organizations while maintaining ICS’s culture of quality, accountability, and long-term customer partnership. Growth opportunities are available for technicians seeking to expand technical depth and responsibility.We are currently located in Aliquippa, PA and will be moving to Pittsburgh towards the end of 2026.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and process instrumentationExecute calibration work independently in the laboratory and at customer sites as assignedApply appropriate measurement techniques, uncertainty concepts, and TAR/TUR principlesAccurately complete calibration certificates, reports, and supporting documentationInterpret customer purchase orders, specifications, and technical documentationCoordinate with operations and scheduling staff to meet turnaround commitmentsMaintain calibration standards, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized conditionInterface professionally with customers to clarify requirements and answer technical questionsAssist with training and mentoring of junior technicians as experience allowsIdentify potential service opportunities during customer interactions and relay internallySupport general laboratory operations as requiredRequiredQualifications & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GEDHands-on experience in a calibration laboratory, field service, or related technical environmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityValid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as neededPreferredAssociate degree or technical training in Electronics, Metrology, or Engineering TechnologyExperience working under ISO/IEC 17025 and/or ANSI/NCSL Z540Familiarity with uncertainty budgets, statistics, and multi-discipline calibrationExperience with calibration software (MET/CAL, BenchTop, IndySoft, etc.)ASQ CCT/CMT, PMEL, or equivalent military metrology trainingSkills & CompetenciesStrong mathematical aptitude and analytical abilityProficiency with electronic and mechanical measurement equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical procedures and specificationsClear written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookCustomer-focused and professional demeanorPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularlyAbility to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and handle lab equipmentExposure to electrical equipment and moving mechanical partsOccasional work at customer facilities in industrial or laboratory environmentsBenefits OfferedPaid HolidaysPaid Vacations and Sick time401k PlanHealth, Vision, and Dental coverageAbout UsICS, LLC. provides complete metrology solutions for calibration and repair of electrical, mechanical, optical, and process control instruments to meet stringent documentation and quality requirements.
