Pharmacy Technician – Hospital Pharmacy
*Job Type:* Contract: 13 weeks
*Department:* Pharmacy
*Shift:* Day/Evening | 4×10-hour shifts
*Schedule:* Rotating shifts; set days may be negotiable
*Payrate: $1200- $1400 weekly gross*
*Job Summary*
We are seeking an experienced *Pharmacy Technician* to support daily hospital pharmacy operations under the direct supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Pull medications from stock and accurately match them with labels generated by the pharmacist.
* Fill and deliver *unit-dose medication cassettes* from patient profiles to nursing units.
* Assist pharmacists with medication order processing and patient profile maintenance.
* Maintain medication floor stock in nursin
* units and other designated medication areas.
* Restock medications and supplies and remove expired medications.
* Rotate inventory according to established procedures.
* Price and stock incoming medication and pharmacy supply deliveries.
* Prepare *IV medication products* in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and facility procedures.
*Required QualificationsEducation & Experience*
* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent — *Preferred*
Licensure & Certification
* *State Pharmacy Technician License — Required* in the applicable state of practice (*California or Oregon*).
* Pharmacy Technician Board Certification — *Preferred*.
* Associate's or Technical Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience — *Preferred*
* Previous hospital or healthcare pharmacy experience is preferred.
