Structural Engineer

Our leadership team highly values our employees and focuses on achieving the following goals: · A professional and safe work environment where your contributions are valued, respected, and fairly compensated for · That balance in work life and personal life is encouraged · Expectations are challenging, reasonable and understood · A corporate culture that you can be proud to be part of · Personal goals can be realized along with corporate success Responsibilities for Structural Engineer Work under the leadership and direction of the Senior Structural Engineer Field surveying of existing sites including layouts, measurement, conditions, etc. for buildings and auxiliary structures at industrial facilities Interface directly with clients on behalf of our company as a subject matter expert and solution designer Design of primarily steel column structures and associated foundations Creation of structural models by using computer-aided design software Perform calculations and reports which evaluate loads, stresses, and other conditions Preparation of cost estimates for structures Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges Review and approval of structural plans and shop drawings created by internal drafting department Advanced knowledge of structural steel materials and connections (W and hollow shapes, channels, angles, etc.) Experience with AWS welding procedures and AISC and Standard Code of Practice Work closely with logistics department within the company to ensure materials are available for projects Communicate with other team members, including PM’s, Engineers, Erectors, etc. Oversee project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of design Qualifications ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering and PE credential required Minimum 5 years professional work experience in developing designs for structures Full working knowledge of RISA / ENERCALC / VisualAnalysis / STAAD or similar structural modeling and analysis software plus AutoCAD 2014 or newer Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent attention to detail Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required Must be punctual, organized, and able to multi-task Ability to travel up to 25% of time A positive attitude and strong ambition to see a complicated project to the end Willingness to fully embrace a teamwork environment where everyone highly contributes to success Previous experience with fall protection systems equipment, façade maintenance, ANSI Z359, OSHA 1910.140, industrial safety, IWCA or similar is preferred Full time with competitive pay, benefits package, and paid vacation Salary: negotiable and commensurate with experience Pre-employment background check and drug testing is required Please submit complete resume for review Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Vision insurance Experience: Engineering: 5 years (Required) Language: English (Required) License/Certification: Professional Engineer (Required) Willingness to travel: 25% (Required) Work Location: In person
