Journeyman Electrician

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both low and high voltage electrical systems, with a strong understanding of industrial and commercial electrical work. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, the use of power tools, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively. As a Journeyperson Electrician at Z Electric you will be running your own van with an apprentice and you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems across various construction sites. Responsibilities - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with local codes and regulations. - Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine layout of electrical systems. - Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues. - Work with low voltage and high voltage systems as required by project specifications. - Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution. - Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently while adhering to industry standards. - Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions. - Provide guidance and support to apprentices or less experienced electricians when necessary. Qualifications - Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification. - Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician. - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications. - Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications. - Familiarity with power tools and safety practices on construction sites. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. - Previous experience as a maintenance person is a plus but not required. -Clean driving record Join our team as a Journeyperson Electrician, where your expertise will contribute to safe, efficient, and innovative electrical solutions in various settings!
