Senior AccountantLocation: Springfield, OHSalary: $80,000 – $90,000 annuallyType: Full-Time | Direct HirePosition SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and drive cost analysis within a production-focused environment. This role combines strong technical accounting expertise with a deep understanding of cost structures and inventory processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, small-team setting.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant financial reportingMaintain general ledger accuracy, prepare tax documentation, and file monthly sales tax reportsOversee cost accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; analyze variances, margins, and cost drivers to support pricing and strategic decisionsHandle inventory reconciliations and periodic physical countsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analysisEnsure compliance with internal controls and regulations; support audits and maintain accurate recordsCollaborate with production and operations teams to optimize costs and inventorySupport ERP/accounting system enhancements or implementationsProvide actionable financial insights to aid operational planning and decision-makingQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3–7 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or production environment preferredStrong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory managementAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, cost modeling)
