Carpenter at Peddler's Village

Peddler's Village is in search of an experienced Carpenter to join our Facilities Team. This position is responsible for timely completion of projects and routine maintenance, to ensure visual appeal of Peddler’s Village, making it inviting and attractive to guests. Duties & Responsibilities A skilled individual who works with wood to construct, install and repair structures and objects. Measuring, cutting and shaping wood and other materials. Constructing and installing building frameworks. Designing and measuring materials according to a client’s requirements. Conduct repair work and installation of doors, windows, siding, drywall, cabinets, stairs and other fixtures as required. Remove damage or defective parts or sections or structures and repair or replace using hand tools. Respond and attend to requests. Communicate with management to resolve issues. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Ability to handle and operate equipment such as ladders and lifts Maintain inventory and requisition supplies as needed. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Creating precise edges and corners, addressing imperfections, and ensuring a flawless finish Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and properly store flammable materials. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure work attire and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Preform other reasonable job duties as requested Job Qualifications 5 plus years of carpentry experience Experience with carpentry tools and techniques Valid Driver’s License Detail oriented with the ability to maintain a neat, clean and organized work area. Ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently and maintain a positive attitude.
