Senior Power BI Engineer (HIPAA Environment)

We are hiring a Senior Power BI Engineer to support a healthcare organization operating in a HIPAA-regulated environment. The role focuses on delivering secure, compliant, enterprise-grade reporting solutions while collaborating with security teams during ongoing compliance and MSS initiatives. This role requires hands-on HIPAA implementation experience and deep expertise in Power BI architecture within regulated environments. US Citizenship is mandatory due to data residency and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities Design and implement secure Power BI dashboards and semantic models Build optimized data models (star/snowflake schema) Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and PHI access controls Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of sensitive healthcare data Collaborate with security teams during gap analysis, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments Support audit readiness and documentation Work closely with stakeholders to translate clinical and operational data into insights Required Qualifications US Citizen 6+ years in BI/Data roles 4+ years hands-on Power BI experience (enterprise level) Proven experience in HIPAA compliance implementation projects Strong DAX and advanced data modeling skills Experience implementing RLS and secure data access frameworks Experience collaborating with security/compliance teams Nice to Have Experience working with MSS or security consulting initiatives Working Conditions Remote 1-year 1099 contract (with possibility for extension) PTO Our values We are a company that seeks the best for both our employees and clients, reaching beyond expectations in turning dreams into reality.
