We're trusted partners across the business, enabling innovation while mitigating risk.About the RoleAs we continue to grow, we're seeking an Employment Attorney to support Noom's evolving employment law needs across our diverse workforce. This role will help shape and sustain compliant, scalable employment practices for a hybrid team of corporate, remote, contract, and international workers, while also preparing us for potential legal considerations related to facility operations.You WillProvide legal counsel and strategic advice on a wide range of employment law matters, including hiring, performance management, terminations, employee relations, internal investigations, and complianceSupport and advise on employee-related policies and programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsAssist with internal investigations related to employee concerns, and advise on appropriate resolutionsPartner closely with the People Team to support employee lifecycle events, including restructurings, disciplinary matters, accommodations, and leaves of absenceMonitor developments in employment laws and regulations, translating them into actionable guidance for the businessCollaborate with outside counsel as needed on employment-related litigation, claims, or regulatory mattersDeliver proactive training and support to internal stakeholders on employment law topics and best practicesBe a resource and contact at TMC for other legal question that require handling by other lawyers at NoomAbout YouIf you're interested in shaping the future of health by ensuring our people practices are fair, legal, and aligned with our mission, this role may be for you!You HaveJ.D. from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar5+ years of relevant legal experience, including time spent at a top law firm and/or in-house legal departmentDeep knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws and regulationsExperience working with diverse employee populations, including hourly workers, remote teams, contractors, and international personnelExceptional judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business solutionsExperience managing sensitive employee relations matters and investigationsA collaborative mindset and the ability to partner cross-functionally with HR, leadership, and other teamsStrong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environmentWhat Makes This Job AmazingOpportunity to shape employment legal strategy at a mission-driven health tech companyHigh-impact role across cross-functional teamsExposure to a broad range of employment issues in a hybrid business modelCollaborative, values-driven culture committed to innovation and continuous learningCompensation PackageThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,800 - $184,800.This range reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position for US-based candidates, at the time of posting. The actual salary offer is based on factors including relevant experience and training, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, and location, among others.Other elements of Noom's Compensation PackageNoom offers a comprehensive and generous total rewards package.
