It is the first in Calgary and one of only a few operating across Canada.Educational Assistant – Job DescriptionInterested candidate should:Ideally have early childcare certification education or teaching aide certificationHave experience working with children aged 4-6 years oldHave experience with collaborative problem solving model and sensory regulationHave experience and/or knowledge of working in an emergent curriculum environment and the Reggio Emilia philosophyBe flexible and looks forward to responding to planning to changes in programming as the day requires - based on weather or the interests of the childrenEnjoy collaboration and working in a team planning environmentHave or be willing to take first aid certificationHave or be willing to submit a current (within 3 months) criminal record and vulnerable sector checkIs able to get to our school at Rosemont Community Association (2807 10 St NW, Calgary, AB T2K 1H2)This Position WillWork directly to support children and the classroom teacher in daily routines and activities including risk assessment with children.The majority of day is spent in the outdoors in all seasons except in extreme weather;Be part of weekly team planningAvailable 5 days per week (Monday- Friday) 8:30am to 4:30pmPay $20 per hour to startBegins just prior to the 2026-2027 school year (end of August 2026)Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to: calgarynaturekindergarten@gmail.com with the Subject line “Educational Assistant”Please mention you saw this at GoodWork.ca.
