This role ensures that quality is consistently built into projects from planning through delivery, rather than simply being inspected at the end.The QA Manager partners closely with Delivery Leadership, Project Managers, and cross‐functional teams to establish and appropriately enforce quality standards, testing practices, and measurable outcomes that scale across multiple deliverable types and customer use cases. In addition to hands‐on contribution where needed, this role owns the overall QA strategy, team development, and quality maturity of the organization.Success in this role requires balancing rigor with pragmatism—to ensure high‐quality outcomes while supporting delivery velocity, creativity, and varied project needs.The ideal candidate is both a program builder and an operational leader—someone who can design and implement a scalable QA program, drive adoption across delivery teams, and continuously evolve quality practices as the organization grows. This role is responsible for embedding quality into our deliverables and delivery processes from the outset, ensuring consistent, high‐quality outcomes that exceed client expectations and reinforce trust in our work.AttributesProven ability to build, standardize, and scale a QA program across diverse deliverables rather than a single productStrong systems thinker who understands how quality intersects with delivery, project management, and customer experienceComfortable defining and monitoring QA processes, metrics, and reporting, while allowing flexibility for different project typesExperienced leader who can coach, mentor, and develop QA team members, including both manual testers and automation‐focused rolesPragmatic mindset—able to apply the right level of QA based on risk, audience, and scope rather than enforcing one‐size‐fits‐all rulesStrong collaborator who can partner effectively with Project Managers, Delivery Leads, and Sales during estimation and planningClear communicator who can articulate quality risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersOwnership‐oriented leader who takes responsibility for the health, consistency, and impact of quality outcomes across the organizationQualifications3+ years of experience leading or managing a QA function or QA team in a professional services, agency, or multi‐project delivery environment5+ years of hands‐on experience defining and implementing QA best practices, standards, and test strategiesStrong understanding of both manual testing and automated testing approaches and methodologies, including when each is appropriateStrong understanding of accessibility standards and testing methodologiesFamiliarity with agile delivery concepts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, and iterative testingExperience developing and documenting test plans and quality strategies appropriate to varying scopes, timelines, and risk profilesAbility to establish and track quality metrics that demonstrate improvement over timeExperience participating in project estimation and planning discussions from a QA perspectiveWorking knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related collaboration toolsFamiliarity with Azure DevOps or similar Microsoft‐aligned planning and tracking tools is a strong plusFamiliarity with AI tools or Microsoft Copilot is a strong plusStrong organizational, prioritization, and time‐management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdditional InformationSalaryThis is a full‐time, exempt position with a starting base salary of $120,000 per year, dependent on experience.Benefits3Sharp pays 90% of employee insurance premiums (medical, dental, vision) and offers a 401(k) match. New employees accrue 4 weeks of PTO in their first year and receive 9 paid holidays.Remote Operations & Business Hours3Sharp is based in Bothell, WA, and operates primarily as a remote workplace. Occasional in‐person meetings may be scheduled by management. We prefer applicants who live in Washington State but are open to exceptional candidates from nearby states such as Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona.
