Medical Receptionist (Spanish Required) - Tampa, FL
Medical Receptionist Anne Arundel Dermatology is hiring a full-time Medical Receptionist to support our Academic Alliance in Dermatology office in Tampa, FL. Bilingual required: Must be fluent in English and Spanish Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMCandidates with experience in a medical office, healthcare front desk, or dermatology practice are preferred. In this role, you will play a key part in both the daily operations of the practice and the overall patient experience. You'll be responsible for managing front desk activities, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring each patient has a smooth and positive visit.Duties & Responsibilities:Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner and provide excellent customer serviceManage patient check-in and check-out processesSchedule appointments and referrals accuratelyAnswer and screen incoming calls; take clear and concise messagesEnter and update patient demographics and insurance informationReview patient charts to ensure all required information, forms, and signatures are completeCollect copays, balances, and other patient paymentsTrack and manage patient flow in the reception areaRespond to patient questions regarding scheduling, billing, and general inquiriesDistribute incoming reports, correspondence, and documentation to appropriate chartsEnsure phone messages, faxes, and internal communications are handled promptlyAssist with inventory tracking and supply orders as neededRun end-of-day reports and balance payment totals when closingSupport team members and assist with additional administrative tasks as neededQualifications Education and Experience:High School Graduate or GED (required).1-3 years recent experience as a Medical Receptionist in a clinical or surgical setting (preferred).Previous experience in Dermatology (preferred).Skills/Abilities:Excellent customer service and communication skills.Knowledge of HIPAA standards.Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.Detail-orientedWorking knowledge of multi-line phone system.Able to operate standard office equipment (i.e. computer, fax, copier, scanner, etc)Intermediate computer skills and experience in EMR utilizationFluent in English.Ability to sort and file materials correctly alphabetically or numerically.Ability to travel to and provide coverage for other local offices as-needed.Physical Requirements:Sitting, some standing, stooping and reaching.Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard.Correctable vision to 20/20 and hearing within a normal range for telephone contacts.Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.Licensure/Certifications/Education Full time employees (defined as regularly working at least 30 hours per week) are eligible for the following benefits:Medical, Dental & Vision insurance effective 1st of the month after date of startShort-term and long-term disability, Voluntary life (employee, spouse, and child), Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity Effective the 1st of the month following date of hireCompany provided Basic Life/AD&D insurancePaid time offPaid holidaysRetirement Savings accountEmployee discount on cosmetic services and products
