IT Technical Support Specialist
Salary: $81,120 - 101,920 per year
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on IT support or systems administration experience.
Proficient troubleshooting abilities with Windows systems and networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MS-CA) or similar are a plus.
Experience with virtualization technologies, Microsoft 365 administration, and cloud services is beneficial.
Familiarity with SQL databases and support for business applications is advantageous.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or ERP setting is desirable.
Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Monitor system performance, security, and backups to ensure ongoing reliability.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access effectively.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, networks, and connectivity.
Offer both onsite and remote support, clearly guiding users through solutions.
Support Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments, including user provisioning.
Install, configure, and maintain Windows and macOS systems along with required applications and updates.
Manage and maintain network infrastructure components such as LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switches, and firewalls, and assist with basic network troubleshooting.
Monitor health of systems and networks, aiding in patch management and routine maintenance tasks.
Assist with server operations and virtualization environments (e.g., Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V), including backups and restores.
Contribute to documentation of network and system standards and diagrams.
Train users on new applications and IT best practices.
Perform additional assigned duties as necessary.
Install and configure network infrastructure including routers and firewalls.
Aid in IT asset management, including inventory and warranty tracking.
Participate in infrastructure upgrades and technology deployments.
Collaborate with vendors for escalated issues or advanced maintenance tasks.
Promote IT security best practices and aid in compliance activities.
