Parts Manager

Manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimizes parts department processes. Attracts, retains, and effectively manages department personnel.Essential FunctionsDevelops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfactionAssist as needed in all areas within the Parts DepartmentPromotes and merchandises parts and accessories in conjunction with other store locationsCreates annual Parts Department goals, in alignment with the organizational goal’sMaintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and follows proper counter proceduresUsing CDK or Vendor websites submits all parts warranty and daily claims and monthly returns within the required time frame to receive maximum creditMaximizes use of all order discount programs to achieve management stock order goals regarding turns and fill ratesEnsures all department tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order and maintains safety policies and procedures.Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this positionDuties & ResponsibilitiesProjects a positive company image by interacting with fellow employees, customers and management in a cooperative, supportive and courteous manner; displays a professional attitude while complying with company policies and procedures.Maintain a clean, orderly and professional work area.Perform other duties as directed.QualificationsMinimum 18 -years-oldHigh School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience is preferred2-3 years of Parts Management experienceMust be proficient in Microsoft SuitesMust be able to stand for long periods of timePhysical RequirementsAbility to work all shift hoursMust be able to stand and walk 8 or more hours per dayBending, reaching, twisting, pulling, kneeling and lifting are continuous essential functions of the jobWill lift from 1-75 pounds from floor to five feet level and team lift heavier itemsNormal physical agility is a must
