Sr. Analog & Power Electronics Engineer6 months Contract-to-HireQualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related technical field with 6+ years of experience in analog and power electronics design and testingDemonstrated proficiency in design, simulation, analysis, and testing of analog circuits and power electronics, including isolated and non-isolated DC/DC convertersStrong expertise in circuit schematics development and PCB layout considerations for analog and power electronics applicationsExperience with circuit stress analysis, derating, and worst-case analysis methodologies for reliable hardware designHands-on laboratory experience with proper measurement techniques and troubleshooting of analog and power electronics circuits using standard lab equipmentProven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including thermal, mechanical, reliability, manufacturing, and test engineeringPreferred: Full lifecycle electrical engineering design leadership, Radiation Hardened (Rad Hard) and COTS design methodologies, magnetic design and simulation, EMI/EMC design considerations and compliance testing, digital/mixed-signal circuits with microcontrollers, space environment reliability and FMECA experienceResponsibilities:Partner with systems engineering teams to define electrical interfaces and establish comprehensive design requirements for spacecraft power systemDesign, analyze, and validate analog and power electronics hardware for mission-critical spacecraft applications including solar array power conversion and battery electronicsLead hands-on prototyping activities, system bring-up operations, and comprehensive test plan development and executionConduct systematic troubleshooting investigations with detailed root cause analysis documentationDevelop and manage circuit schematics and PCB layouts for complex analog power units and avionics systemsProvide technical oversight throughout hardware lifecycle from design through production, satellite integration, and on-orbit performance monitoringSupport EMI/EMC compliance activities and comprehensive qualification testing programsLead Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM) with customers and stakeholdersProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while driving cross-functional project success
