Travel Opportunity: 8th Grade Special Education Teacher - Derry, NHA school in Derry, NH is seeking an experienced 8th grade Special Education Teacher to serve as a case manager for the remainder of the school year. This role involves managing a caseload of approximately 15 students while providing targeted instruction and support through small group and inclusive classroom settings.Key Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of about 15 students, including writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), progress monitoring, and collaborating with regular education teachers.Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and IEP development.Assist students with transition planning for high school, updating relevant documentation and preparing for transition meetings.Teach a daily small-group, pullout math class of approximately 8 students, focusing on individualized instruction.Lead a small-group academic support pullout class that addresses students' individual goals including reteaching and preteaching strategies.Collaborate with regular education teachers by pushing into math and English Language Arts (ELA) classes to provide co-taught instruction and support.Desired Qualifications:Experience working as a Special Education Teacher at the middle school level.Strong skills in caseload management, IEP development, and progress monitoring.Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, parents, and support staff.Expertise in differentiated instruction and small-group teaching.Commitment to supporting student transitions and individualized learning plans.Location: This is a travel assignment based in Derry, New Hampshire, offering the chance to impact students in a dynamic school environment.
