Job Role: Senior SAP Project Systems (PS) Functional Consultant for S4Duration: Long TermLocation: Houston, TX, USAWe are seeking a Senior SAP Project Systems (PS) Functional Consultant to lead requirements gathering, fit gap analysis, configuration, testing, and rollout of SAP PS solutions. This role will work closely with Finance, Project Controls, and IT stakeholders to ensure project accounting, cost control, and reporting requirements are effectively mapped to standard SAP PS capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead discovery workshops to gather project accounting and control requirementsUnderstand and document As Is project processes, including:Project structuring (WBS, networks, activities)Project budgeting, cost planning, and forecastingActual cost capture, settlements, and revenue recognitionIntegration with Procurement, Finance, and ControllingPerform fit gap analysis between business requirements and standard SAP PS functionalityConfigure SAP Project Systems, including:WBS structures and networksBudgets, availability control, and cost planningMilestones, billing elements, and settlementsDefine and support integration scope with:SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO)Controlling objects (cost centers, internal orders, assets)Procurement (MM), Sales (SD), and Plant Maintenance (PM), where applicableSupport functional testing, integration testing, and UAT, including defect resolutionProduce key deliverables such as:Scope definition and fit gap analysisEffort estimates and implementation sizingHigh level implementation timeline and dependenciesRequired Experience8+ years of SAP Project Systems functional consulting experienceStrong expertise in SAP PS within S/4HANA environmentsSolid understanding of project accounting, budgeting, cost control, and settlementsExperience leading requirements gathering and fit gap assessmentsHands on experience with PS integrations to FI/CO, MM, and SDExperience supporting UAT and project rolloutsPreferred QualificationsSAP S/4HANA Project Systems certificationExperience with large scale or complex project based organizationsExposure to Capital Projects, Engineering & Construction, or IT project accountingKey SkillsStrong stakeholder communication and workshop facilitationAnalytical and problem solving skillsAbility to translate business requirements into standard SAP PS solutions
