Benefits & Compensation:* IUOE Local 49 member after 50 working days* Paid holidays and vacation time* Comprehensive benefits plan inclusive of Health, Dental and Vision coverage* Options to purchase additional life insurance (employee, spouse, and child)* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* Well rounded company wellness plan with incentivesPosition:* Night Shift 6pm-6am 4 days on 4 days off* 2026 pay $33.48 plus $1.25/hour night shift differential after 50 working days probationary period (does not include pension contribution)* Working on, in, and around docks on Minnesota River, must be comfortable around waterResponsibilities:* Perform safety and operational checks or inspections on mobile equipment, cleaning equipment, material handling equipment, and emission controls equipment, and work environment as required by Superior or regulatory agencies.* Operate, Control, and Adjust the equipment as needed to optimize barge unloading/loading or material handling. This is accomplished using, Alarms, Sensors and/or manual controls.* Follow Written or Verbal instructions with minimal supervision* Provide input, ideas, and suggestions on potential problem solutions or improvements* Perform Adjustments and Preventive and Maintenance on Mobile equipment* Perform Adjustments and Preventive and Maintenance on material handling, transferring, or cleaning equipment* Maintain, Grade, and Keep Organized & Safe all roads, ramps, berms, stock piles* Maintain, Clean, and Keep Clear of material build up all dock material hoppers, material handling equipment, aprons, loading areas, driveways* Maintain and Clean inside the dock building* Do a complete walk through the entire dock working area once per shift looking for problems or potential problems and reporting them to the proper person* Other duties may be assignedPhysical Demands:The position is a physically demanding job. The functions performed ordinarily involve extending hands and arms in all directions, holding, grasping, turning objects using hands; picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers; perceiving size, shape, temperature, or texture of objects through contact with skin, primarily fingers. Functions also usually involve frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, bending at waist, bending legs, bending downward and forward, and moving about on hands and knees.
