We deliver 24/7 emergency mitigation, full-scale reconstruction, and planned capital improvements-supported by nationwide reach, vertical integration, and technology-driven transparency that protects our clients' investments and reputations.SUMMARY:The Construction Foreman is responsible for leading and overseeing day-to-day construction activities within active, occupied healthcare facilities, including hospitals, medical office buildings, surgical centers, and clinical spaces. This role requires strong field leadership, deep knowledge of healthcare construction standards, and the ability to coordinate work while maintaining strict infection control, life safety, and patient care requirements.The Foreman serves as the on-site leader, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with hospital protocols and project specifications.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Field Leadership & SupervisionLead, assign, and supervise daily work activities for internal crews and subcontractors on commercial healthcare projects.Plan and execute daily and weekly work schedules, ensuring proper sequencing and productivity.Provide hands-on leadership while maintaining accountability for workmanship, safety, and compliance.Healthcare Environment ComplianceEnforce Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures and ensure proper containment, dust control, and negative air setups.Coordinate with hospital Infection Control, Facilities, Safety, and clinical staff to minimize disruption to patient care.Ensure strict compliance with hospital policies, interim life safety measures (ILSM), and security protocols.Construction ExecutionOversee construction, renovation, and maintenance activities including framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring, finishes, casework, and general carpentry.Support installation and modification of healthcare-specific infrastructure (wall protection systems, med gas supports, ceilings, headwalls, etc.).Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate execution.Safety & Quality ControlEnforce OSHA standards, company safety programs, and site-specific safety plans.Conduct daily jobsite safety briefings and proactively address hazards or unsafe conditions.Monitor quality of work and correct deficiencies to meet project and hospital standards.Communication & CoordinationServe as the primary on-site point of contact between field crews, project management, and hospital representatives.Communicate progress, constraints, and risks to Project Managers and Superintendents.Assist with problem-solving and field decision-making to keep projects on schedule.QUALIFICATIONS:Computer skills including internet, e-mail, (MS Outlook) MS Excel, and MS WordExperience working for a general contractorStrong working knowledge of:ICRA and infection control proceduresHospital safety and security protocolsConstruction sequencing in live clinical environmentsFamiliarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasksStrong communication skillsThorough and attentive to detailsAble to prioritize and multi-taskProactive and deadline-orientedProven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and hospital credentialing.Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to travel up to 75% nationwideEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Associate degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Building Science, or related technical field5+ years of construction experience, with demonstrated experience on commercial healthcare projects.Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Technician, or Site Lead in active, occupied healthcare environments strongly preferred.
