California Licensed CDI Specialist
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist - Outpatient. Key Responsibilities Review patient medical records to ensure accurate documentation for risk adjustment and coding Conduct pre and post-visit audits to verify the completeness of medical records for claims submission Build strong relationships with clinicians and revenue cycle colleagues to enhance documentation practices Required Qualifications, Training, and Education Minimum of 3 years of ambulatory risk adjustment coding experience Preferred certifications include Certified Risk Adjusted Coder (CRC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines Understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA Experience with ICD-10-CM coding and HCC risk models
