Full Stack Engineer (databases, APIs)
About the Role:
The company is seeking an experienced, AI-focused Full-Stack Developer and technical leader to build and launch SaaS applications, internal tools, and AI-powered products. This role combines hands-on software development with team leadership, technology strategy, and the development of distributed engineering teams. You will work directly with company leadership, influence technical decisions, introduce new AI technologies, and help grow the development team. The position involves in-person collaboration at the company's Las Vegas office.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, develop, and launch SaaS applications and internal tools from the ground up.
Own features throughout the development lifecycle, from planning and coding to deployment.
Use AI coding tools and agents, including Claude Code and Cursor, to improve development speed and productivity.
Design and launch AI-powered features, agents, and automation workflows.
Work with leadership to define technology strategy, recommend tools and architecture, and prioritize development initiatives.
Recruit, hire, and onboard offshore developers.
Establish processes, communication practices, and accountability for distributed development teams.
Manage and mentor developers across different time zones.
Set code quality standards, review work, resolve development blockers, and ensure deadlines are met.
Evaluate existing development processes and improve speed, quality, and reliability.
Manage multiple development projects simultaneously.
Stay informed about major AI model and technology releases and identify opportunities to apply them.
Work with AI agents, LLM APIs, and automation workflows.
Train and develop the team's AI skills and encourage AI-first development practices.
Recommend ways AI can improve products, marketing, and business operations.
Ensure AI-powered products and features are reliable, responsible, and deliver measurable results.
Required Qualifications:
At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
Experience building and launching at least one SaaS application used by real customers.
Strong hands-on experience with AI coding tools and agents.
Experience building production features using LLM APIs, including OpenAI or Anthropic.
Experience leading or managing software developers.
Ability to delegate work, provide feedback, and manage distributed teams.
Strong understanding of how technical decisions connect to business outcomes.
Full-stack development capabilities across frontend, backend, databases, APIs, and cloud deployment.
Hands-on approach to coding, debugging, deployment, and meeting project deadlines.
Strong interest in AI innovation and the ability to identify practical applications for emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Shopify, direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, subscription commerce, or marketing technology. Experience recruiting and building offshore or remote development teams.
