Join us in embodying these values.Role SummaryKings River Packing is seeking a Logistics Administrative Specialist to support the logistics department by managing administrative and operational tasks related to transportation coordination. This role reviews and reconciles transportation-related transactions in collaboration with Finance, assists with various logistics functions, and works closely with Sales and Allocation teams to support operational changes and ensure efficient, accurate transportation processes.What You'll DoProcess and verify carrier invoices, ensuring rates and charges align with shipment recordsWork with carriers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies in freight chargesCommunicate billing adjustments or deductions internally and externally as neededReview, verify, and document delivery shortages and overages with internal and external partners to ensure accurate claims, chargebacks, and invoicingReview additional transportation charges, including detention and layover fees, against system data to determine cost responsibility and ensure proper allocationAssist with dispatch operations, including answering calls, coordinating transfer order moves, and updating carriers on loading locations as neededMaintain accurate transportation cost records in ERPEstablish and maintain positive working relationships with departments, sheds, and vendorsMaintain an organized electronic filing system for transportation documentationPrepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations as neededPrioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-entity, and multi-cultural environmentCommunicate clearly, professionally, and proactively with internal and external stakeholdersPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required1–3 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or administrative supportWorking knowledge of DOT and FMC regulations strongly preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel requiredStrong organizational and data entry skills with high attention to detailExcellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsPhysical Demands & AbilitiesAbility to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of timeAbility to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.Regular onsite work schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility to adjust as business needs requireOur Benefits$25 - $30 per hour, based on experience Medical, Dental, and Vision BenefitsGenerous paid time off, 48 hours sick leave and 8 paid holidays 401k with 4% matching after 1 year service Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Medical and Dependent Care optionsOnsite team buildingThis information reflects a base salary range that Kings River Packing reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, certification, and experience.
