Lead Software Integration Engineer

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Lead Software Integration Engineer for a direct placement, hybrid opportunity (3 days a week onsite in Columbia, SC, 2 days remote). The Candidate will act as a senior technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise integration solutions across complex business systems. This role will oversee integration architecture, guide technical direction, support production environments, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 10+ years of experience in application development, systems integration, and production support Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical lead, senior engineer, or supervisory role Strong experience with enterprise integration technologies, including APIs, middleware, and data exchange patterns Advanced proficiency in T-SQL and working knowledge of relational database systems Experience developing and maintaining automation scripts using Windows PowerShell Demonstrated ability to design, architect, and implement enterprise-level solutions with a focus on reliability and performance Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions Strong understanding of financial systems and accounting concepts Preferred Skills/Experience Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM, ERP, EPM, content management, or business process management platforms Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financial systems and UC4 batch scheduling Prior experience leading or mentoring technical teams Background working in hybrid or cloud-based enterprise environments Experience supporting end users and creating documentation or workaround processes Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise integration solutions across multiple platforms Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and developers Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system and integration issues in production environments Develop and maintain integration workflows, automation scripts, and data exchange processes Ensure systems meet performance, security, and reliability standards while adhering to best practices and organizational guidelines Work Location Hybrid – Columbia, SC (onsite Tuesday–Thursday) Full-Time Employment with SYSTEMTEC means a competitive salary + paid OT, PTO, holidays, health, dental, disability, and life coverage, 401K, tuition reimbursement and more Please note: SYSTEMTEC is not set up to employ workers in the states of California, New York, and New Jersey.
