Retail CoordinatorThe Retail Coordinator will be the assistant to Director of Retail & Buying. This position provides high-level administrative, organizational, and operational support to the retail and buying department. This role assists with inventory tracking, vendor communication, reporting, and day-to-day retail operations to help ensure department efficiency and success.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide direct administrative support to the Director of Retail & BuyingWill be main and first point of contact when the Director of Retail is off site.Maintain organized digital and physical filing systemsHandle confidential information with professionalism and discretion (very important)Assist with purchase orders, product data entry, and vendor communicationsTrack inventory levelsAssist with stock replenishment on retail floorsSupport seasonal buying preparation and product organizationCoordinate sample management and product deliveriesMaintain accurate pricing and product information in retail systemsAssist with retail promotions, merchandising projects, and store initiativesHelp coordinate retail events, seasonal floor sets, and launches with retail directorMonitor supply needs for retail locationsCoordinate and assist with Director of Retail and retail shop managers yearly inventory.Compile sales reports and inventory analysisAssist with tracking budgets, invoices, credit card reconciliation and end of month reportsSupport data accuracy across POS and inventory systemsServe as a professional point of contact for vendors and internal teamsFollow-up on orders, shipping timelines, and product issuesBuild positive working relationships with suppliers and retail staffComplete appropriate trainings listed on the human resources Training Matrix.Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission's safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources.Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.CompetencesExperience with inventory or retail management systemsStrong attention to detail and accuracyKnowledge of retail merchandising and buying processesProfessional and positive attitudeAbility to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentPrevious administrative or retail experienceExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesOne year certificate from college or technical school; or six to nine months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
