Certified Laboratory Coding and Billing Specialist

Job Overview: We are seeking a certified laboratory coding specialist to assist with CPT Codes, ICD-10 Codes, and LCD/NCD compliance specifically for laboratory testing. This is a part-time, remote, contractual position. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our team to develop a comprehensive database and algorithm aimed at supporting providers in lab selection, ensuring medical necessity, and optimizing lab reimbursement processes. Key Responsibilities: Apply expertise in CPT Codes, ICD-10 Codes, and LCD/NCD for laboratory testing. Assist in building a robust database to improve laboratory billing and reimbursement efficiency. Collaborate with the team to create algorithms that enhance medical necessity documentation and lab selection. Support laboratories in navigating coding requirements to ensure maximum reimbursement. Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in laboratory billing and coding. In-depth knowledge of lab-related CPT Codes, ICD-10, and LCD/NCD guidelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and remotely. Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
