Senior Project Manager
Role and AccountabilitiesAccountable for overseeing the planning and execution of large-scale, complex implementation projectsWorks independently, receives minimal guidance, and leads through influenceResponsible to a Project Management Office (PMO) consisting of a matrixed set of resourcesConsistently works with the leadership and finance teams to control project expenditures against the project operating expense and capital budgetsCollaborates closely with partners across the organization including business partners, other technology partners and delivery managersInterfaces with key partners and vendors, ensuring they understand both project and project deliverables, meet timing, and cost deadlines, and collaborate with internal project stakeholders to achieve project resultsActively leads project planning and overall strategy, to include resource needs identificationActively leads in establishing and tracking progress to key performance indicatorsResponsible for evaluating and tracking overall project health and status; producing actionable insightsIdentifies and ensures Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) are logged and actioned; works with project management and execution team to resolve itemsProactively identifies and actively leads in the resolution of issues and conflictsResponsible for escalations to leadership and to vendors as appropriate to drive resultsLeads/participates in sourcing and contracting activitiesContinually apprises leadership and relevant business stakeholders of status and anything not on trackCommunicates successes supported by metrics/KPIs illustrating the business value of IT solutionsEnsures clear communication of project scopes, timing, prioritization, budgets, resource needs, and progress on an ongoing basis• Exemplary communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate well to both technical and business audiencesBasic Qualifications Experience8+ years of relevant experience leading large projects and global teams with 5+ project management resources8 years in a technology leadership role in a Corporate environment of a similar size/complexityEPM (Budgeting and Financial Planning) experienceExperience establishing and driving strategy and design for, and implementing and/or upgrading major ERP / Finance platformsExperience leading large, matrixed project teams including architects, developers, operations, PMs, business analysts, and vendor partnersExperience in leading inter-organization change to increase efficiency through the implementation of technologyExperience managing project, project and team budget and financialsExperience with Security and ComplianceProven track record of execution--driving results and meeting commitmentsThe position is a senior leadership role (Manager II equivalent) and is part of a large transformation initiative.Prior experience with large finance systems implementations strongly alignedExperience working in complex, enterprise finance environments preferred
