Howmet is now seeking for a Maintenance Electronic Technician in its Winsted, CT Location.Job SummaryAs the Maintenance Electronic Technician, you will be required to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and upgrade manufacturing equipment.Essential FunctionsTroubleshoot CNC/PLC controlled equipment problems using schematics and manualsPerform basic and complex machine/plant wiringUse test equipment to solve problemsTroubleshoot and repair AC/DC servo drives, power supplies, and feedback devicesTroubleshoot/replace various switches and electrical componentsDesign/assist in equipment refurbishments and /or upgradesJob ResponsibilitiesPartner with vendors as neededOrder parts, replace inventoryMaintain 6S and other area housekeeping standardsParticipate and actively promote continuous improvement activitiesActively participate in job specific training, promote and comply with all Quality and EHS programs and policies.Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee HandbookMaintain acceptable attendancePerform all other job duties as assignedApply today to see if you qualify for the Maintenance Electronic Technician role.,QualificationsEducation:HS diploma/GED requiredAssociate's degree in electronics preferredPreferred Skills and Abilities:Knowledge/experience/training with machine tool controls CNC and PLCExperience with 480/277/220 three phase power, transformers and wiring.Use of advanced trades math together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts and technical skills knowledgeAbility to plan, troubleshoot, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processesAbility to interpret instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practicesAbility to manage multiple prioritiesComputer experience in related maintenance databasesBackground with electrical engineering, preferredEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
