Our mission is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the people who depend on us.We're currently seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech Pathologist to join our Speech & Audiology Department at our Galion location.Position OverviewPediatric Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) are responsible for providing appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, and therapeutic interventions in the areas of speech and language, voice, fluency, social communication, and feeding/swallowing. The SLP will work directly with patients, their families, and collaborate with healthcare providers and other professionals in providing education, counseling, and facilitation of additional care/intervention as needed. Additionally, pediatric SLPs provide augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive and or language comprehension disorders.QualificationsRequired:Master's degree from an approved school of speech/language pathology.Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech Pathologist).BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.Knowledge of principals and practice of speech pathology.Preferred:Previous experience working as a Speech Pathologist.Certificate of competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.Why Join the Avita Health System Team?At Avita, we're committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment where every team member plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our communities.
