Essential Job Functions And ResponsibilitiesCarry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, break areas, and other work areas so that health standards are met.Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.Replenish supplies, such as bathroom items and paper towels.Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners.Dust and polish desks, furniture and equipment.Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.Wash front door and pass through door windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.Dust window blinds and windowsills.Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware.Detailed Work ActivitiesClean building walls or flooring.Clean equipment or supplies.Clean facilities or sites.Clean furniture or fixtures.Decorate indoor or outdoor spaces.Dispose of trash or waste materials.Instruct staff in work policies or procedures.Move furniture.Remove debris from work sites.Organizational relationshipsReports directly to the Janitorial & Housekeeping Supervisor. Assists and works in conjunction with all other departments to facilitate smooth office operations.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.Attend and actively participate in meetings and trainings, as well as share important information in a professional manner.Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.Skills RequiredEducation, Work Experience, Skill Requirements & Certifications:Ability to handle several projects simultaneously, prioritize work and handle last-minute demands appropriately.
