This role is perfect for someone skilled in metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and precision forming.About the RoleAs a Press Brake Operator, you will operate, set up, and adjust press brake machinery to form high-quality metal parts used in commercial ceiling systems. You'll work with steel, aluminum, and various angled components - ensuring every part meets strict quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine OperationSet up, adjust, and run press brakes according to job specifications.Select proper tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job.Form components from blueprints or work orders within required tolerances.Quality AssuranceInspect parts using calipers, gauges, and precision tools.Record production, waste, and quality data.Maintain strict quality and safety standards.Safety & General DutiesFollow OSHA and company safety rules at all times.Keep work area clean (sweeping, debris removal).Package finished parts and assist with other machinery when trained.Education & ExperiencePress brake or metal fabrication experience strongly preferredPrior machine operator or manufacturing experience requiredAbility to read blueprints, drawings, and work ordersFamiliarity with metal types, fabrication processes, and tolerancesWillingness to learn additional machinery (turrets, presses, benders)Work EnvironmentManufacturing plant (hot/cold temps, noise, dust, uneven surfaces)PPE required: safety glasses, ear protection, steel/composite toe bootsAdditional PPE provided when neededPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materialsAbility to lift 20 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionallyOccasional kneeling, climbing, or crouchingMust meet vision requirements for precision measurementNewark, OH 3248 1287 Log Pond Drive Newark, OH 43055
