We’re seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Vice President of Sales to drive growth by sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-impact strategic partnerships across the Pacific Northwest, Mountain West and nationally. As leader and architect of our Business Development team, you understand how product development services can pave the way for larger software, hardware, or robotics engagements with dual-use hardware innovation clients and will actively seek to build that pipeline. This executive role involves creating new revenue streams, managing senior-level client and partner relationships, and leading cross-functional teams. You’ll be responsible for building strategic relationships and driving new service engagements that fuel our expansion.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and market expansion goals. Help shape Vigilant’s dual-use value proposition and go-to-market strategy. Lead Generation: Create and deliver compelling sales presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition of our engineering services. Use storytelling techniques to engage prospects and illustrate how solutions can address their challenges.Partnership Development: Identify, source, and close strategic partnerships. Represent vigilant.engineering at regional industry events, trade shows, and networking forums. Sales Cycle Leadership: Own the full deal cycle—from prospecting, pitching, and negotiating to final closure, specifically for consulting and professional services.Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to senior-level decision-makers, understanding their business drivers to propose tailored solutions.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and delivery teams to align sales initiatives with company capabilities and ensure successful project implementation.Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and foster a high-performing sales team. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Proven track record leading B2B business development, specifically in hardware and either professional services, or technical services.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of professional services, product development, robotics, defense technology, and the needs of the warfighter is highly valued.Communication: Exceptional negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills to engage with C-level stakeholders.Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends, identify new opportunities, and build long-term business plans.Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Entrepreneurial: Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment.
