We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our Tempe, Arizona office.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed structural design, analysis, engineering calculations, and assist in the development of construction drawings and specifications for Water/Wastewater projectsConduct structural investigations and assist in the preparation of reports and cost estimatesPerform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresComplete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variablesWork independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projectsGive direction to clerical and technical personnel as neededRequirementsBachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with Structural emphasisEIT certification or ability to obtainMicrosoft Office, Mathcad, TEDDS or similar analytical software experienceSAP2000, STAAD or similar Finite Element software analysis experienceAutoCAD, Revit or similar detailing and drawing production experienceAbility to work in a team environment with the work involving studies, detailed design and engineering services during construction for a wide variety of projectsPossess analytical and organizational skills to support multiple projects at a timeAbility to learn, listen, adapt, and take ownership of workAttention to detail, self-directed learning, and meeting deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate work with other disciplines and production staffWillingness to try new things and be forward thinking, with a creative and innovative approach to engineeringBenefitsThe comprehensive benefits plan offered by Wilson Engineers exceeds industry standards, and is aimed at meeting each employee's personal and professional expectations.
