Java Developer
Job description:
ROLE OVERVIEWBuild, enhance, and support secure, high-volume Java applications for enterprise banking systems. The successful candidate will be hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and AWS, and will deliver reliable code across the full software development lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java 11+ and Spring Boot.· Build RESTful APIs and independently deployable microservices following sound object-oriented and design principles.· Implement event-driven integrations and asynchronous processing using Apache Kafka.· Develop and deploy services on AWS and contribute to CI/CD, containerization, logging, monitoring, and release readiness.· Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot defects, and tune application performance.· Collaborate with frontend, data, QA, architecture, and business teams in an Agile delivery environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong hands-on Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and object-oriented design skills.· Practical experience with Kafka and AWS in enterprise application development.· Strong SQL, debugging, automated testing, Git, and performance-tuning capabilities.· Knowledge of secure coding, distributed systems, and CI/CD practices.· Banking or financial-services experience preferred; ability to work with enterprise standards and controls.
