Diesel Mechanic Technician

The Starline Collection is accepting online applications for shop mechanics/technicians for our Maintenance Department. Full-time work with excellent benefits. Job Summary This position is for a shop Mechanic /Technician with the ability to perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair a variety of equipment to include motorcoaches and minibuses, gas and diesel engines, and equipment. A bus mechanic may: Perform general tune-ups, maintenance and repairs using appropriate diagnostic tools and instruments necessary to accurately determine the reason for part or component failure. Repair and/or replace various components on vehicles and preventative maintenance. Use safety equipment and personal protection devices. Properly diagnose vehicles using a variety of software programs and industry technology Maintain accurate records (electronic and manual) of inspections and replacements. Document labor, parts, and supplies for each job. Assist in roadside repairs. Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful work environment. The selected individual will work with colleagues in a collaborative manner as a positive team builder and will promote high standards, positive attitudes, and shop safety in all work-related areas. Candidate performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Maintenance Foreman. Work Year: Full Time – 8 hours per day, 260 days per year Benefits: PTO, and holidays, health insurance coverage, and retirement benefits. Tool allowance, ASE and other incentives available. Industry Training Certification Program, paid for by the company. Special Requirements/Licenses Required to possess: Hand tools - both metric and SAE, and a storage cabinet. Valid Driver’s License. Physical Requirements This position requires the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach above shoulder height, climb ladders, use hand tools, and work in confined spaces.
