Product Compliance Specialist

A well‑established materials manufacturing organization is seeking a Product Compliance Specialist to support product safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management across a diverse product portfolio. This role partners closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure products and raw materials meet applicable regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. This role will be based on-site in the greater Charlotte, NC area. Key Responsibilities:Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements impacting raw materials, product development, manufacturing, and labeling.Conduct product and raw material risk assessments and advise cross‑functional teams on compliance requirements.Define and coordinate product compliance testing to meet applicable regulatory standards.Review and approve new and existing raw materials for regulatory and product safety compliance.Track emerging product safety and regulatory issues affecting materials and finished products.Respond to customer compliance inquiries and develop clear, accurate technical responses.Identify compliance risks, escalate issues appropriately, and support mitigation efforts.Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Legal, Sales, and Customer Service.Partner with external laboratories and regulatory organizations on compliance evaluations.Maintain accurate compliance documentation and support customer and regulatory audits. Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field.3-5 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or product safety within a regulated manufacturing environment.Knowledge of product safety regulations; experience with food contact materials strongly preferred.Familiarity with product safety management systems and regulatory compliance tools (e.g., Sphera, 3E a plus).Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and risk awareness.Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support customers and internal teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
