Dermatologist (MD/DO)Position SummaryThe Dermatologist provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. This role includes the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions, as well as the performance of office-based dermatologic procedures, with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage patients with a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including inflammatory, infectious, autoimmune, and neoplastic skin diseasesDiagnose and treat skin cancers, including melanoma and non-melanoma malignanciesPerform dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other office-based interventions consistent with training and privilegesProvide medical management for chronic skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and rosaceaEducate patients on skin health, disease prevention, and treatment plansCollaborate with primary care providers and other specialists as neededMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiativesSupervise and educate trainees or advanced practice providers, as applicableComply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standardsQualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited dermatology residency programBoard-eligible or board-certified in DermatologyAbility to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensureDEA registration or eligibilitySkills and CompetenciesExpertise in medical and procedural dermatologyStrong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skillsExcellent communication and patient counseling abilitiesAbility to work efficiently in a clinic-based environmentCommitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient careWork EnvironmentOutpatient dermatology clinics and procedural suitesMay include limited inpatient consults depending on practice settingPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and sit for extended periodsManual dexterity for dermatologic proceduresVisual acuity sufficient for detailed skin examinationsRequirementsMust maintain state certification and/or licensure.
